About a week ago I was asked for the second time to move into management. I haven't officially answered either way for a while but I have had a handful of management shifts where I filled in for one of them when they were in a jam.
Saturday was one of these nights. Several people called out and they ended up having me manage one of our smaller clubs. I had 4 bouncers total including myself. At about 2:02am one of my employees was making his end of the night rounds and a guy made a hand gesture "brushing" him off behind the bouncers back and completely ignored what he had just been told. I saw this and step in. The guy tries to blow me off. I stand there and they eventually get that they need to move inside. Once inside the patron becomes completely belligerent. I call back up and point at the guy in question and say that he needs to leave. My guys grab him and start to carry him out. While doing this the guy raises his arms and tries to protest. Igo for his arms to block but accidentally "thumb jab" or throat punch him and he shuts up.
Once outside he tries to rally and come at me but soon realizes that he is out matched after I move him several feet in about half a second.
